Is Kuycon a trustworthy brand? The verifiable facts

It is the legitimate question anyone asks when about to spend €900 with a manufacturer they had not heard of last week. Rather than promises, here is what can be verified: who sells, where the monitors come from, what warranty applies, who steps in if something breaks — and what the brand does not do.

Who is behind Kuycon

Four concrete pieces of information, all verifiable on this site or in public registers.

The selling entity

Kuycon monitors are distributed by Reboot Global Corporation Limited (Hong Kong), registered under number CR 80572683. This is the company that invoices, ships and carries the warranty.

After-sales service

In Europe, warranty work is carried out in France by Place du Mac (SIRET 842 262 750 00016, VAT FR51842262750), under contract with the distributor. You do not send a monitor back to Asia: your contact is European.

Manufacturing

The monitors are bought directly from the factory in Foshan, Guangdong, with no intermediary. A buffer stock is kept in Europe for fast shipping; large volumes ship directly from the factory.

Taxes and customs

Deliveries within the European Union are made DDP: duties and taxes paid. The price shown is the price you pay, with no surprise on receipt. Outside the European Union, shipping is DAP.

What the press says

Kuycon first drew the attention of the specialist press for a simple reason: offering 5K and 6K, two resolutions very few manufacturers produce, at prices unrelated to Apple's. Notebookcheck and TechRadar covered the launch of the G32P as an alternative to the Pro Display XDR, highlighting the considerable price gap.

In France, MacGeneration published a full review of the G32P on 7 August 2026, under a headline that sums up the brand's position well: an alternative to the Pro Display XDR "with a few compromises". That is a fair reading. A monitor at half the price of an Apple model is not a cheaper Apple monitor: it is a different product, with different trade-offs.

The three criticisms you hear, and what they are worth

"The design copies Apple"

The resemblance is deliberate and several outlets have noted it. Aluminium chassis, thin bezels, minimalist stand: the inspiration is obvious, particularly on the models designed for Mac users. It is an aesthetic choice that appeals to anyone wanting a consistent setup, and that will irritate others. It says nothing, however, about the quality of the panel, which comes from the same suppliers as the rest of the industry.

"It is a young, little-known brand"

That is true, and it is the real question to ask. A monitor is a purchase that has to last five to ten years: the strength of the after-sales service counts as much as the spec sheet. That is precisely why the chain is publicly documented: an entity that invoices, a French company identified by its SIRET number that carries out the work, a 24-month warranty in the European Union, a verification tool by serial number. These are things you can check, not promises.

"There is no webcam and no speakers"

True on the 5K models, and deliberate. The Apple Studio Display includes a camera, a microphone and six speakers; part of its price comes from there. Kuycon monitors concentrate the budget on the panel and the chassis. If you already own a webcam and a speaker, you do not pay twice. If you were counting precisely on those features, it is a genuine point of comparison to factor in — we detail it in the Studio Display versus G27P head to head.

Where to buy, and why it matters

The warranty applies to monitors bought on kuycon.co or from the authorised resellers listed on the site. A monitor bought on a marketplace from an unlisted third-party seller may be genuine, but you will not necessarily have access to the same support channel. The reference list is published on the where to buy Kuycon monitors.

How to decide, in practice

  • Check the entities. The SIRET number of the French after-sales provider and the distributor's registration number are public: they can be checked in two minutes.
  • Read the warranty terms before ordering, not after — duration, defective pixel threshold, procedure. They are published in full.
  • Look at what you are really buying: a 5K or 6K panel, an aluminium chassis, complete connectivity. Not a webcam, not an audio system.
  • Compare against the right competitor. Our comparisons against the Samsung, Dell, LG and BenQ models put the numbers side by side.

FAQ

Kuycon: frequently asked questions before buying

Is Kuycon a trustworthy brand?

The monitors are distributed by Reboot Global Corporation Limited (Hong Kong, CR 80572683), with a 24-month warranty in the European Union and after-sales service provided in France by Place du Mac (SIRET 842 262 750 00016). A monitor's warranty coverage can be checked by its serial number. These are things you can verify; the brand is still young, and that has to be weighed against the price gap with the market benchmarks.

Who handles after-sales service if something breaks?

In Europe, warranty work is carried out by a contracted French provider, Place du Mac. You do not ship your monitor to Asia. The procedure starts with contacting customer service, with your order number and proof of the fault.

Are there customs charges on delivery?

Not within the European Union: shipments are DDP, duties and taxes paid, and the price shown is the price you pay. Outside the European Union, shipping is DAP and local taxes may apply on receipt.

How long does the warranty last?

24 months in the European Union, 12 months outside the European Union, from the date of purchase. It covers failures of critical components, serious display defects and defective pixels beyond the ISO 9241-307 Class I threshold, and is resolved by repair, replacement or refund.

Where should you buy to be covered?

On kuycon.co or from the authorised resellers listed on the site. A purchase from an unlisted third-party seller on a marketplace does not necessarily give access to the same support channel.

Do Kuycon monitors have a webcam and speakers?

Not on the 5K models. It is a deliberate choice: the budget goes into the panel and the chassis rather than into a camera and an audio system that many users already own elsewhere.

Decide on facts

A 24-month warranty in the European Union, after-sales service provided in France, DDP delivery with no customs charges and coverage verification by serial number. Then look at the monitors.
