Which monitors for an estate agency?

In an agency, the monitor is seen by the client as much as by the agent: it is used to show a property, to scroll through photos, to get signatures. It may as well be crisp, silent and presentable. Here is how to equip an agency's three workstations — and the case where our monitors are not suitable.

Equipment

Three workstations, three needs

1. The agent's desk

This is an intensive office workstation: transaction software, listing portals, email, spreadsheets. What counts here is workspace, not extreme fineness. A 32-inch 4K like the P32K displays 3840 × 2160 points legible at 100%, with no scaling: two full windows side by side, for less than €800.

Comfort counts too: these monitors run with no fan, the aluminium chassis dissipating the heat. In an open-plan office where you receive the public, silence is not a detail.

2. The client presentation monitor

The one you turn towards the person sitting opposite. Here resolution becomes decisive again: a property photo displayed at full resolution on a 6K panel is not the same thing as an enlarged pixelated thumbnail. A G32P at 6144 × 3456 shows an interior, a floor plan or an aerial view with a level of detail that makes the difference in a meeting.

The second effect is less technical: a machined aluminium monitor with thin bezels, sitting on an agency desk, contributes to the image you project. It is the same reasoning that leads people to take care over the shop window and the brochures.

3. The reception wall monitor

To show a selection of properties in the waiting area, indoors. Every model accepts the VESA 100 × 100mount, and Kuycon stands provide 90-degree rotation: in portrait mode, a property listing fills the whole height of the screen, photo and description included, exactly like a poster. It is the natural format for this content.

Favour a matte finish for a lit reception area: the G32X in matte 6K or the P27L in matte 4K stop the ceiling spotlights reflecting in the image.

Frankly

What these monitors will not do: the shop window

We may as well say it plainly, because it is the first question an agency asks: our monitors are not shop-window displays.

A screen placed behind glass, facing the street and exposed to daylight, has to fight the sun. Displays designed for that use reach 2,000, 3,000 or even 4,000 nits, with anti-condensation treatment and electronics designed for heat. Our models hold 500 to 600 sustained nits: excellent for an office or a hall, insufficient in full sun, where the image will look washed out.

A second reservation: these are computer monitors, not digital signage displays certified for continuous operation 24 hours a day, seven days a week. For permanently switched-on shop-window use, go to a specialist supplier — that is the right product for that need, and it is not ours.

For everything that happens inside the agency, on the other hand — workstations, the client presentation monitor, the reception wall monitor switched off at night — these monitors are perfectly in their place, and at a price unrelated to that of professional signage hardware.

Three details that make agency life easier

  • Brightness is controlled from the computer. The DDC/CI protocol lets you turn the monitor down at the end of the day or adapt it to the season without touching the hardware: handy when the monitor is wall-mounted, out of reach. The tools are on the brightness control.
  • A remote control is supplied. Changing source or adjusting the image without hunting for a button under the panel: useful on a wall-mounted monitor.
  • One cable per workstation. The USB-C models power the laptop and connect the keyboard and mouse over the same cable. An agent arriving with their computer plugs in within two seconds; see the single-cable desk.

The budget of a typical agency

For three agents and a reception area: three 32-inch 4K monitors at around €770 each for the desks, one 6K for client presentation, and one wall monitor in portrait for reception. Stands are ordered in a pack or separately from €49.90, and off-the-shelf wall mounts are suitable as long as they are VESA 100 × 100 and rated for the weight — see the mounting guide.

DDP delivery within the European Union, duties and taxes paid, and a 2-year warranty with after-sales service provided in Europe: for a multiple professional purchase, these points count as much as the spec sheet.

FAQ

Estate agency: frequently asked questions

Are these monitors suitable for a shop window?

No. A shop-window screen exposed to daylight requires 2,000 to 4,000 nits and electronics designed for continuous operation; our models hold 500 to 600 sustained nits. They are designed for indoor use: workstations, client presentation, reception wall monitor.

Can a listing be displayed in portrait mode?

Yes: Kuycon stands provide 90-degree rotation, and every model accepts the VESA 100 × 100 mount. In portrait, a listing fills the whole height of the screen, photo and description included.

Which monitor to show a property to a client?

A 32-inch 6K like the G32P: an interior photo, a floor plan or an aerial view display at full resolution, with no pixelated enlargement. It is the workstation where resolution genuinely changes the quality of the meeting.

Do these monitors make any noise?

No, they run without a fan: the aluminium chassis acts as a heat sink. In a space where you receive the public, that is real comfort.

Which finish in a lit reception area?

Matte, to stop the ceiling spotlights or a glazed front reflecting in the image. The G32X in 6K and the P27L in 4K are the matte models in the range.
